MOD

Üjine is a total conversion mod who brings a new world with completely new map, new cultures, new religions and new mechanics to Crusader Kings II.

SMALL PRESENTATION

This mod takes place in the world of Üjine and begins at the year 823 after the fondation of the Dirsurfire, the ujinese empire. Take the control of any ruler, from the chief of a tribe in Üjülüta to the ruler of the Dirsurfire even to the leader of forgotten Neshita people.

At this date in the West, the Ujinese Empire is in big trouble : twenty years ago, the civil war ravaged the Dirsurfire and ten years ago, its birth region officialy seceded after major religious problems and a war between the Commanders of Vitöluröri the Heresiarch and Dyünuture Shlöri the Great. And in 823, Dyünuture Shlöri dies at the age of 40 without any heir. The succession of the Dirsurfire is troubled and therefore his two aunts are fighting over the throne.
In the East, the situation is unknew but it said that the Ibaxaraor is populated by separatists, that the Tunalanor are willing to benefit from the Dirsurfire's distress and that the mountains can hide some powerful warlords.

FEATURES

  • A brand new 2048x4096 map focusing on one large continent.
  • A class system.
  • A lot of cultures, all with their own names and flavor.
  • And more

A BIT OF A ROADMAP

So after some old experiences, i think a roadmap is a good thing to have, i don't know how much time the first part of this mod will take but the first part will be :

-Some work on the map (beaches, impassible mountains, terrain...)
-Near 600 provinces around the Üjine which is a region of the size of like three/four time the France size.
-Cultures of the region with namelist completed.
-Religions of the region and mechanics related to them a bit fleshed out.
-Some flavor events to begin.
-Vanilla events, decisions and other stuff integrated
-And the 823 Bookmark fully fleshed out.

-Maybe a playable version.

The second will be :

-A new region of 100 to 150 provinces to the east of Üjine.
-Again, cultures of the region with namelist completed.
-A bit more of flavor event.
-And the 823 Bookmark updated to the new changes.

The third step will come with a new bookmark surely and new additions to map.

And so on, i will fix new steps.

AND A BIT OF EXPLANATIONS

Currently the mod is not playable at all, vanilla decisions and events have to be implemented, the provinces are currently one holding provinces.
I put a strong emphasis on the names of this world, every name of provinces, characters, holdings or any word that are not in english have a signification, i think it brings a good general feeling and consistency to the world.
I will post screenshots and news time to time to show the progress.

If you have suggestions or questions, i'm interested in.

What is the mod based on? Googling the name does not give any information. Is it your own creation? If so, I believe others as well as I would like to know more.

Yes, it's my own creation, i'm currently searching how to present this project like maybe a general presentation and a summary of important historical events, i don't know yet.

I hope you have success with this! I tried doing a total conversion mod a while ago but gave up because I was struggling with map graphics, heightmaps specifically!

I'd be interested to know about the world you've created and its cultures. :)

DEV DIARY 1 : Look at the religious and cultural setup in the three kingdoms

Hello,
today just a bit preview of the religions and the people of the Üjine region and brief descriptions of them.

From the south of Votürötajire to the Funulisworirize in the north, we find the Faturatic religion in its monotheistic form which can be considered like the early christian religion. In 823, it's a very young religion, a eighty years old religion originated from a much older religion praticed by very few in the east.
It first imposed itself throught war between 803 and 812 after a massive uprising in Aprinasta, the former capital of the Dirsurfire but later the masses quickly adopted it thanks to peacefull campaigns of proselytizeing led by the Orsunë family.

In the west, we find followers of the Vitölosi Soto meaning the Divine Way, it's the official name of the Dirsurfiri Pantheon, the polytheistic religion praticed in the Dirsurfire. Unlike the Faturatic religion, it's yet a five hundred years old faith. It includes many gods but the most significant gods are part of the Council of Gods composed by Lususi and Lüvanü, the proeminent, and Jümüne, Sovole, Jisure and Jüdöne.
We can also find the Cult of Lügana and the Cult of the Two Moons which are parts of the Vitölosi Soto but are considered like major cults and often have monotheistic tendencies.
In game, only major cults are treated like separated religion from the Divine Way, other minor or non-politically important cults will be treated with traits.

We find at first, the Ujinese (Üjinëi in their language you guessed). They considered themselves are the founder of the civilized world because the founder of the Dirsurfire was an Ujinese king named Jülum IX who ruled Majolio and succeded to unify Ujinese and the other people related to Ujinese and also because the Dirsurfire was ruled by Ujinese families until 761. The Ujinese language was often the second language of many people and many ujinese rites was integrated by their neighbors.
Silapolese and Newsilapolan (respectively Silapolëi and Silapolajëiüi) are cultures very close to ujinese culture and their evolution were very similar to ujinese influencing each other, from the rites to the language.

The Miluhëi at the west are related to the Léflüëri in the north and related to Ujinese at a certain extent. The Miluhëi possess some odd religious cult like Pëiluksëmü Cult, a sort of fallen god who raised again. The Miluhëi culture was a bit influenced by Old Neshita, we find name of neshiti origins and the neshiti-influenced funeral rites of the Miluhëi are unique amongst the Ujinese people.

The Léflëri are separated into two dialects, the West Léflëri and the East Léflëri. Despite its linguistic ties with the Miluhëi, Léflëri are closer to Ujinese and influenced by the Jilëi, the other prestigious people of the Üjine.

The Jilëi are the second prestigious people with the Ujinese, they are considered like formidable warriors. A Jilëi family came to the throne of Dirsurfire in 761 and reformed the administration of it and imposed a bilingual administration and since the spread of Jilëi language to high classes, Jilëi is considered like the most rafined language. Jilëi was heavily influenced by Drüsirëi, their former ennemies.

At this stage, the map only contains the territory of the three kingdoms of Üjine formed after the fall of the Dirsurfire in the East, this is strange but they are considered legitimated by the Dirsurfire because they have proved their right to rule after their prowess at the Battle of Aprinasta and the Battle of the Likla River.
