Hi folks,
So I was trying to help another player with his custom entries in itemCollections and I remembered some random post, where the poster noted that new ammo/equipment types were not showing up when we switched to the new shop system in 1.3. I must have figured that any bugs in the new shop system would have been quickly crushed and just forgot about it. I just now did a quick test with custom half ton ammo bins in 1.4 and it seems to still be there:
Test 1
I launched the game.
Then launched a Career Mode save game.
Went to the shop and some not all, of the custom half ton ammo bins I am using were missing.
Went to a new star system.
In the new shop again some not all, of the custom half ton ammo bins I am using were missing.
Test 2:
I launched the game.
Went to Skirmish and Mech Bay – I did not click on a unit to edit, so I did not enter the Mech Lab.
Exited Skirmish.
Then launched a Career Mode save game.
Went to the shop and some not all, of the custom half ton ammo bins I am using were missing.
Went to a new star system.
In the new shop again some not all, of the custom half ton ammo bins I am using were missing.
Test 3:
I launched the game.
Went to Skirmish and Mech Bay and went into edit/Mech Lab.
Exited Skirmish.
Then launched a Career Mode save game.
All of my custom ammo bins are now appearing.
Went to a new star system.
In the new shop all of my custom ammo bins are now appearing.
Now these ammo bins are given a weight of “0” and “10” in itemCollection_Ammo_all.csv which makes it easy to see if they are appearing in shops or not.
But is this bug only affecting weights of “0” and “10”?
What about other weights?
And other csv files in itemCollections?
Anyone else doing/have done any testing?
Does this impact modders only or does it impact the stock game as well?
Combined with other bugs I’m starting to think I should hold off until 1.5 before I spend more time in editing any of the 192 files in itemCollections.
