Modding Pregnancy, Traits, and Portraits

Three questions, maybe some others have figured out:

1) Anybody found a way to edit the circumstances around pregnancy? I was hoping to add a requirement that your character be in the same province. . .so far I'm not sure its possible.

2) Has anyone found a way to edit the chances of congenial trait assignement? I'm finding dwarves, and clubfoot, and the others too common.

3) Portraits, I'm looking to change the ages that character portraits change.

1) There are some on_action events for pregnancy that trigger events to add the trait but I don't see any way to modify how and whether they fire. So sadly, I believe you're correct.

3) I am familiar with the portrait_properties file. It doesn't seem to be the one that points to the age transitions.

I only know that the age of adulthood for characters is defined in common\defines.txt file.

pregnancy is hardcoded as they say, but workarounds are possible.

Give the character a -fertility buff if he is a) leading an army, and b) his wife is not accompanying him on the trip - could be an event that fires when your character is leading an army. Use the other events to restore normal fertility (not buff/maybe buff for a small period of time, i.e. when the guy returns maybe he is horny for his wife).

Paradox games are usually better about making these types of things moddable, maybe it's because it's a new release?

nah usually tons of hardcoded stuff, which is why workarounds are so important. Many things seem impossible, but they aren't.
