Is it possible to modify the badboy effect of taking non-Christian provinces? I'd like to reduce it from the current 0.8 to 0.4. It doesn't seem all that sensible to me that one should get the same badboy effect from taking a Muslim or Pagan province as taking a Christian one. It also really annoys me that when a Muslim ruler annexes one of my vassals, I get badboy from taking the province back.

I can't find a file called "reputation" anywhere, but there should be a line of text one can change somewhere. Or is this hard-coded in DV?

It is hardcoded

That's a pity. I'll just have to live with it I guess. Thanks, Veld.

Ive got to admit that sometimes I find myself resetting my badboy, I just find it really stupidly anoying when a loyal vassal decides to get a tit on despite the fact ive just given his son a count title and him a duke title.
But despite this he hates me and gets emo because i just kicked out some Count / Duke who had been waging war against me for the past 15 years !!

Hence I reset the Badboy rating every now and again but ensure I dont abuse it, IE , I start getting requests for Vassilation from people who were not interested before the reset. To counter this I refuse them despite wanting them onside.

Editing Badboy is easy, find the code for your rulers main title ( the icon that represents them ) and it should be right at the bottom of the save. It will read Badboy = 5.678 or something similar. Just reset it to 0.000

It actually anoys the hell out of me to see some German King Dave or w/e with a Kingdom of over 20 Duke Vassels holding it tight for 40 years game time , while i cant expand past 5 kingdoms because of my BB rating.
Grrrrrr... If it effected the AI then maybe it wouldnt be such a crippling anoyance
