Please tell me there is a great mod out there for this great game! I know there are wishes for a second or a new patch but i feel that is not going to happen. Anyway I have DV and the newest 2.1patch is there any mod that i can use? thanks

There are two major mods for DV:

Besides those there are a whole host of graphics, sound, event and various mini-mods around - http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?t=339266
TASS and DVIP are not compatible, but both should be compatible with most mini-mods.
So if you want to try out both, make two copies of your current CK folder, and install each in one of the copies. Then you can always easily return to the "clean vanilla" version you have now.
