So Sengoku is the first Paradox(internal devs) game since ages I havent bought(the list is like EUI-III+HoI1). The setting does not really interest me all that much, and for character driven gameplay CKII is just around the corner. It also smells a bit like Rome, which I never really got into.
Since I cant view the Mod Forum I want to ask here, are there any good mods around which could persuade me to get it, just as a little warmup for CKII.

Thank you in advance.

well there's the genpie war mod which is SUPER decent. and is being perfected and worked on regularly.

though yes, i have to say the game still lacks the amount of events that you get in CK1, but the devs are working on that, from what we're hearing. so hopefully it'll get to that state sometime soon. at the moment if i have to give a percentage, i'd say the game is 60% like CK and 40% like Rome as it is currently.

Maybe I should give more informations...
The Genpei mod sets the start date to 1180, i.d. the age of the rising samurai. I will add another scenarios in later periods, since I think it is important to have ancestors of the characters in the vanilla settings (1467 and 1551). The mod also added more traits and events. You will find events with the Imperial Court, some altered parameters like the movement speeds and building effects, and the changed education events. The more changes will come in future.

I wish this thread is not moved to the mod sub forum. We need just one thread in the general forum to explain a bit about what happens in the sub forum.

Since the OP has no write access to the mod subforum, I'll leave this thread here.
