By looking at the various leader tables around on the net, I thought that Henry VII of England is supposed to also be a field general, but I've never noticed him in the game.

In fact, I'm not so sure that I've seen any kings leading armies as England - maybe Cromwell?

Is this implemented in the game and just forgotten for some Monarchs?

Most monarchs have stats but aren't actually leaders. Apart from the very few, they never lead armies in combat. IF they actually are a leader, they will be in the leader file besides the monarch file.

Gotcha, thanks!

Would have been nice for several of the countries who are short on leaders (like England early in the game).

Does it actually realise that the general and monarch are the same person if they are implemented separately (I've never had my kind die on the field yet)? Or does it implement it like generals who are also admirals, ie two clones who are totally independant (I wish they had found a better way of doing that).

Then there are the leaders that were both land and naval. In the game, you get cloned commanders, one for land and the other for the navy. I don't think there are many. England gets two at once, Monck and Rupert.
