I'm sorry if this is the wrong forum. It looks to me like there's an error in the text file for Mongolian Invasion events.
See this thread, where Jordarkelf and I seem (if I/we are correctly understanding the text file) to be discovering this problem:
http://www.europa-universalis.com/forum/showthread.php?t=255365
The relevant event is displayed on that thread.
Basically, the problem is that the switch to gavelkind, according to the event as written, becomes less likely at 1300 and even less likely at 1340. Everything I have seen on these boards, though, has seemed to indicate that the intention was for it to become more likely once these years have passed.
The modifier factor for these years is 10, when perhaps it should have been .1 instead.
I am writing here to make sure this is in fact a mistake in the text file, and that it is not written as intended. This is so I can decide whether I ought to feel okay about making the relevant modification. Also it is to give the developoers a heads-up for patch 1.06, if indeed this is an error in the text file.
