Love the mod for starters, this is almost legendary work, but I have some suggestions for stuff, mostly related to my favorite pass time in CK2. . . .building stuff.

How can I build my glorious Irish empire without more buildings.

(1) Cultural Specific Building types - Not just specific military unit buildings, but rather unique buildings for castle, city, and church holdings which give a unique description and flavor to a long and steady building line of laws and traditional practices which result in major gains. For example, a castle holding of roman castles having roman edicts and laws, a roman city having roman economic edicts and resources, or a roman church having religious edicts specific to the culture.
(2) Cultural/Art Buildings - Maybe a building chain which introduces art, museums, and workshops which give a larger and larger trickle of cultural tech and money
(3) Merchant Republic posts on LandLocked Land - Maybe a trade post instead of a trade port. I don't know if this is du-able.
(4) Fix or Enhance slave options - While playing Askum, I tried some times to give my slaves titles of lands. I ended up give a slave the highest title of a newly formed republic. I then could still manage him and give him a slave wife, ironically from the kin of the same person I enslaved. It would be interesting to possibly give events into this kind of situation, where a slave can demand freedom at a republic duchy level or have a different trait of slave where he can be managed differently (Like forcefully give sons to their liege lord to be wards, or demanding money, or other creative stuff)
(5) More Garrison Buildings for Castles - I decided to cheat a game to see the maximum levy and garrison rates for castles and levies and found that a castle could have a massive levy army, but literally 0 units for their garrison despite walls and the such. While I do think it might be creative that a player with such a high building levy in his capital, it is kind of silly have a 1 guy army just walk and take over and imprison my entire family by knocking on the door while I am fighting said guy's liege lord.
(6) Wonders of the World - Just as you have so many unique religions, cultures, and nations that go with them I am wondering if one can have a event to start building massive custom wonders of the world which add major benefits, or already built wonders like the Pyramids or stuff like that. More specifically, I want to build my glorious vast druidic Irish imperial city complete with a named castle that gives me a trillion prestige a turn. Trillions I tell you.

Thoughs?

heh, remind me of the need to find time to finish maintenance work on the church-holding buildings already...

but that aside

1) I believe futuregary said he was intending to make a culture-building overhaul some time in the future (read: some time after the Eastern Expansion is done), so we just might be able to have that. Even then though, those could probably also be simulated by provincial modifiers instead....
2) I'm not sure that kinda makes sense early game, but it might be possible to introduce them late game.... where they might be too late though to have any effect
3) I can see where you're going, and it is indeed possible to transfer the code of trade port buildings to inland castle/city holdings. But I'm not quite sure that's a good idea, as it's in the end simply no different from upgrading your holdings inland
4) ... eheh, slave buildings indeed need to be worked on. I still haven't had much time spent on them sadly
5) well, I did make it so that as the game progresses your levies grow while your garrison diminishes... mostly to address an issue in the past wherein the garrison max growth rate was too large in compared to levy max growth rate, which wars a bit tricky... I do agree I might need to look into it though, once I could manage to find enough time to balance test the game without the frustration of CTD's kicking me out frequently.
6) technically, I made the Citadel-series buildings mostly with this in mind, but they cost a lot and require late-game tech to achieve....
still, for unique regional wonders - they have been suggested in the past.
but making "custom wonders" that can be made anywhere? ... they'll become generic "wonders" soon enough if many rulers can build them, and it's not really possible to restrict buildings such that only a number exists in the world

I'm sure the others have more thoughts on this matter as well

Goddamit Ranklamps! The CTDs are gone for good now (Several continous 100 year test games can confirm it). The only CTDs you might find are CK2 related ones (like clicking some red skulls), but LI related ones should be gone... for now.

ahehe.
to be fair, I haven't actually started a game that lasted longer than a decade for probably several months :p

still, good to know then. I'll start scheduling more of my time into LI then ^_^

A quick remark about inland trade republics: appearantly Arko has found a way to cheat the engine allowing inland trade republics by putting a sea pixel in inland provinces. I don't know how that would technically work (if those inland sea pixeled need to be defined as adjacent to the "real" seas, or if it will work as a sort of inland separated ocean without acces to ships, but it would be nice trying out...
