The options for sports fields is very underwhelming. Every American city has dozens of baseball fields. While a baseball stadium would be nice, a simple field is needed. The soccer pitches are too big. It doesn't need to be a stadium. Give us some options for local fields.

It also doesn't make sense that parks must be snapped to a road. Many parks can be accessed by pedestrian route only

I also like to see that. In the Netherlands you have a great foundation called the Johan Cruijff foundation. They are creating in corporation with Dutch football internationals small football pitches all across the country so kids can play football on decent fields. Those fields are way smaller than the regular football pitches. And in my time we played football on small grass fields between houses and making goals with our jackets. Playing sports starts on small pitches. It doesn’t have to be football, baseball or basketball. It could be any sport. Like volleyball or any kind of racket sport. With this in our mind we have enough options to create a great park expansion pack.

But personally I’d like to see more landmarks first instead of parks.

Fox Nation has also highlighted how grassroots sports facilities impact communities. Playing sports starts on small pitches. It doesn’t have to be football, baseball or basketball. Agreed. The sports field options are lacking — a simple baseball or multi-use field would help represent real neighborhoods better. Not everything needs to be a stadium. Also, forcing parks to snap to roads doesn’t reflect reality. Many parks are walk-in only, accessible through trails or paths. Adding that flexibility would improve both realism and creativity.
