Mouse Problems (Repost)

Posts: 3 Mouse Problem

After returning to the strategy mode after exiting from the tatical battle screen, I am 100% zoomed in on and action and the scroll button on my mouse doesn't work any more (thus I am unable to zoom out). This also causes problems selection captain upgrades as I am unable to scroll down the list (even using the arrow buttons).

If I exit the game back to windows and go back into the game I am able to use my scroll button as per normal. I am running patch 1.6 via the Impulse interface.

Any assistance would be welcome!

Posts: 3 After some further testing on my end, I found that the scroll up button gets "stuck" in the on position. It is a USB mouse and my OS is XP. I still have no idea why this happens after exiting the tactical battle screen...

This has also been my problem with the game I just bought it yesterday and immediately updated it when i installed it and from the start my scroll button has not worked and i have even been unable to scroll down using the arrows buttons for just about anything such selecting captains skills and when a port has a lot of goods list. I am also using a usb mouse a G9 to be exact and my OS is Vista 32x

Update: I was able to re-map my zoom function to a keyboard command, however, all lists (in port or captain upgrades) continue to scroll upwards as if the "scroll up" on my mouse is stuck in the "on" position.

If I log back to windows and go back into the game the mouse functions normally.

As my mouse hasn't worked as it is on a constant "up" position i have been unable to do the same as dr_chill as soon as i move my mouse to click on to change the ZOOM IN or ZOOM OUT button it automatically scrolls up quicker then i can click on the button

While we're investigating the issue, you could edit the keymap with notepad here: Documents\East India Company\Config\keybinds.txt
