mouse problems

Got a new wireless type mouse but when I run HOI have problem. The mouse moves ok and highlights areas when over them but the left and right click buttons don't every time they are clicked. Had no prob's with last mouse, any ideas?

Have you tried it with other games and do they act the same?

What brand of mouse is it?

The mouse works fine with Championship Manager 4 (that's about the only other game I play) and doesn't have prob's when on net or using other programs like word. The type of mouse is Microsoft USB Wireless Optical Mouse (intellipoint).

Did you install the drivers from the CD?

reinstalled drivers from cd but problem persisits. It does eventually click but not first time.

Is it USB?
Have you run the diagnostic software that comes with it?

I get this in other games occassionally, I think it is to do with the fact that the pointer has to remain over the button for the start and end of the click, ie the depressing and unpressing of the button, otherwise it does not register. I think that's the problem here, sometimes I'm a bit frantic with the mouse and miss buttons on the depressing of the button.
