Summary
Movement Attrition through Controlled TerritoryDescription
I started a war against the king of West Francia to take several duchies. When traveling into West Francia to counties that border my own realm, I am taking movement attrition (not supply attrition). It is not a visual bug, I am actually taking the attrition.I also receive attrition moving into controlled enemy territory. I literally control the territory, but I'm still taking movement attrition. This appears to be because despite moving into a barony I control, I do not yet completely control the county. Though I do not agree with this logic (why can't I at least move into this piece of the county without attrition?), this appears to be as designed.
Moving into hostile territory from non-combatant territory seems to be the only way to avoid the attrition. Saving and reloading did not fix the issue.
Steps to reproduce
It took a while to figure out what's going on here, but I think I know the issue. My vassal, Duchess of Brittany, has a vassal, Count of Rennes, who is at war with the Count of Maine (as co-belligerent), a vassal of West Francia.
The game has decided to allow the Count's land, which is in my realm, to consider me hostile. I can move freely throughout their land, but if I move into West Francia I take attrition because that is being considered movement from hostile territory into hostile territory.
Why a count in my realm can be allowed to consider me hostile (without being at war with me) is beyond me.
