Moving and Transferring Leaders

When you have one of those 'special' leaders that aren't a 1-0-1, and make it into the archive listing, is there any way to move them around without marching around with a special detachment?

What happens if that special detachment were to attrit to nothing on you?

No, unless u have discovered the teleportation tech (75, I believe).

Don't. They die. Pretty hard though to let 100 men attrit away.
