Moving provinces to titular duchy

For RP reasons I removed the restrictions upon the titular kingdoms of England and want them to drift to dejure, but wish to retain Somersetshire and Middlesex as my own as King of England while the duchies of Wessex and Essex drift to their dejure kingdoms.

I decided to move the two to a titular duchy, Dublin, which I created by quickly switching my guy to english_norse and added the duchy under the list of English duchys under landed titles, but Somersetshire is skipping to the duchy before it, Huntingdon while Middlesex has become completely black under the duchy button and is unslectable, even though it's before Somersetshire on the list.

I'm not good at this code stuff, but it looks fine to me. Is there something else missing because Dublin's a totular duchy?

Everything worked fine when I moved around some provinces into duchies that felt more appropriate, like moving Frisia and Ostfriesland to Holland from Gelre.

Someone actually made a mod a while back, I forget the name of it sadly, that lets you change the de jure structure within the game by right-clicking the title flags. It's possible to use it to create titular titles from one of a lower tier (including duchies from counties) and change what a title is a de jure part of if it's in your realm, even counties. I only mention it because it seems like it would have been beneficial to your situation.
