Sure you just need to copy the saves over. Usually there are two files associated with each save a big one with the game data, and a smaller config file.
If you want to be safe take the whole folder.
 
No since you would have named them, or taken the default names which include the game date saved, ;) so it would be impossible for me to tell you.

But if you just copy the whole directory, you should not have a problem.
Or start the game and save it again calling it something you will remember, like "ThisOne" then look for two files in the save directory called ThisOne.

if you right-click into the directory view and tell windoes to "sort by date" then you should see the newest savegames last on your list. That's what I do, since it's kinda bothersome to find the newest save file sometimes if the list is alphabetically sorted.
 
I think the way to be sure is to name the file as I suggested above. ;)
