MP connection problems

I'm trying to play a MP game with HoI, but whenever I try to connect to the other person's IP, I get a game not found message. Same when I host.

I've opened the 23000-24000 and 47624 ports on my router for the IP on this computer, and I'm not running any firewalls (at least, none that I know of). This is a new computer, running XP, cable connection. I can play EuII MP fine on my old computer, haven't tried it on this one yet.

I have no problems joining and playing at CS, NWN, and Return to Castle Wolfenstein games online.

Any help or suggestions are welcome, just keep in mind that I don't know jack about networks and ips and such.

I think the kind and knowledgable folks over in the MP forum are a little more likely to have the answers you seek, hence....

Yep, I'w had that problem from time to time. It sometimes allows you to connect if you exit HoI and restart it (You might need to do this more than one time)

Well, I did quit and retry HoI a few times, even restarted my computer and tried it, didn't seem to work.

I have the same problem! I emailed support two times but they never respond... i need help!
