We played a French MP game yesterday from 8H30 to 12 PM
:http://www.europa-universalis.com/forum/showthread.php?t=165198

The country played were:

Eire: Jimbo
Hungary: Boultan
Burgundy: Footix
Genoa: Snarf
Ukraine: Sayagh:
Byzantium: Sam Vimes

Two players were missing (Granada & Hanseatic League). The game went nicely (except for a couple MP bugs) and we didn't have any CTD. We were able to play 19 years.

The situation in 1438:

As you can see there were quite a few wars...

Nearly every country player country was at war by the end of the first year: Hungary followed its bosnian allies against Croatia and then Steirmark. Bosnia was at war during nearly all the regional powers during the entire period. It gained 3 provinces in all, but boultan was uanle to diploannex it as it never was at peace... To compensate he decided to take on Bohmia which suffered quite a bit...

In the west: Eire joined a war against Scotland along Britanny... Scotland is now only a regional power and Eire as been able to secure the Irish strait. After that Jimbo played rather peacefully going in a colonization spree in North America.

Burgundy had a tough war against Lorraine (yes it happens sometimes...) After that Footix diplovassalized most of the French minors, made an unseccessful war against Swabia (he made peace with Geldre which was the alliance leader...) and finally took on Britanny.

Ukraine and Genoa made some nice gains, but both suffered from alliance leader peace limitating the actual gains.

Bavaria annexed every province in sight and then was gang baged by all its neighbours, Swabia becoming the new central power.

In the east: Byzantium started by taking on Serbia and Bulgaria. After that the game went pretty nicely with a succession of small wars (Albania, Raguse...) and diplovassalisation (Armenia, Georgia). The end of the game saw a big expansion with the was against the Golden Horde which ended with too many unexpected gains (5 or 6 provinces among which the Astrakahn COT) when the GH government fell. The game ended with the diploannexion of the 4 orthodox vassal. I chosed not to go against the Turkish muslim of Asia Minor as they have different culture and religions. (just a side question: as we didn't want to know events, I don't know what is supposed to happen. However I didn't get any historical event in 20 years, while the others got quite a few. I wanted to know if it was normal or maybe if there was a bug with the byzantium events?)

Also note the good performance of the KoJ which held against the 4 turkish minors and was able to gain 4 provinces after a 10 years war.

Byzantium gets many historical events, but not many in the 15th, especially small domestic ones. Maybe we should add one or two, gonna check with Byakhiam.

Apart from that, look great, I hope I can sub for you next Saturday.

we play on Sundays ;)

and actually we might need a sub or even a new perm player for Ukraine as Sayagh is feeling the game is a bit too brutal (which I can clearly understand seeing how it has started... :D)

Well, Byzantium has few events in 15th with first firing in 1463. Although, are they really necessary? Flavour could be added, but I think events like "revolt in one prov" or "+1 stab" are best as randoms as they already are. If Byza needs early booster events like so many else seems to get, I'm fine to do some.

Despite a few CTDs (5 in a session...) the French MP is progressing nciely. We have now reach 1475. Most player countries have become huge by now. We start seeing player wars: Kalmar was deafeated by an alliance between the Hansa and Burgundy (thanks to the Hanseatic fleet...) and lost Estonia.

Having conquered Britanny and Southern Italy (including Rome!), Grenada is currently being attacked by no less than 4 human players (Burgundy, Genoa, Hanseatic League and Kalmar...). After early defeats, Grenada is putting much of a fight ans is slowly conquering southern France! But poor stab and war exhaustion will probably nonetheless lead to a draw or a small defeat.

In the meanwhile Hungary and Byzantium were rather peaceful and tried to keep up in the tech race (even if it can hardly be called a race seeing its slow pace...)

Thanks again for the great mod! :)

Why didn't Eire snatch Scotland for itself?:)

And how does the colonial scene look?

Irlande lose a war against Kalmar and Burgundy, Kalmar took Scotland an Burgundy took colonies in America. The colonial scene looks colored, Genoa, Hansa, Ireland and Burgundy are the major colonial powers, Genoa annexed the Aztecs for example. :)
