Can you give us a little more detail than that. When does it crash, after you performed what actions, after the screen displayed what? Did you get any messages? or did it hang or CTD?
When I press the "join" button, the computer hangs and needs tp be restarted...

Do you have the newest patch installed, and does the person who you are joining have the newest patch? If the two versions aren't compatible, the game will hang for maybe 15 seconds, then a message like "cannot find game at selected IP" will come up.
It have never worked, and the computer hangs, and has to be restarted.
