One more week until EU2 is released in Sweden...
Meanwhile:
How many players can participate in a MP game?
- Are all nations available?
- Do you play scenarios, Grand Campaign or first player to get 500 pts?
- Is there a save game option (to continue the game later)?
- I assume speed settings are no more then 4 months/minute, right?
- How many players are there usually in the MP lobby?

I think you can have eight players max... but to get them all to show up might be difficult. Two to four is ideal i think.
Yes, all nations should be available.
You can play whatever you like - if you have a dedicated partner you can consider playing a GC, but otherwise maybe some short scenario's, or a vp race.
Yes there is a save game option, and i hope its a bit more stable and bugfree than the one in Eu1. :)
You can put it as fast as you want, but 1min = 2 months, or maybe 4 months is good in my opinion.
I have no idea...

Thanks for your fast reply.
I will give it a try once I get used to the sequel, but I have a feeling there are too few players willing to dedicate several hours of their valuable time to a MP game of EU.
I´d be very surprised to find some 50+ ppl waiting for a game to start. :)

Actually, the Vnet lobby is often empty, but waiting for 10 minutes will get you 1 or 2 partners.... people like to pop in just to see if anyone is there! :)

And you can always join a clan... that way you have much more chance to find someone online (on icq or something) to play against...

Currently, with V-Net you'll find 1-2 people to play with pretty quick if you're on around prime time for North America. More if you're willing to wait. But rarely will you find dedicated people.

Personally, I find the clan thing kinda annoying, because it actually limits the people available to play in my opinion. Right now I'm experimenting with playing at a standard day/time to see if we can get a continuous group. We'll see how well that works in a week or so.. ;-)

I've not had to much luck running well with more than 5 people, particularly if any of them are using modems (as opposed to some broadband solution). I'd say 3-4 is a pretty good bet. More is worth it in my opinion if you're willing to deal with crashes and re-sync pauses.
