MP: Unable to connect during LAN

For some reason sometimes we can't continue a saved game. Heres what happens: I host and wait for my brother to get in. I click on the saved game and he comes in and the green bar slowly fills up on his name. When it hits full the message compressing scenario should appear and my computer will freeze for 15 seconds. Then we can play. Now more often is that the green bar fills up and freezes and a message pops up for a fraction of second than disappears. The green bar continues to fill up. One time I just pressed start and my brother couldn't do research anymore. Is it because I didn't wait for the green bar to fill up? Please help.

Let me move you to the MP forum for now and see if they can help.

If it works when you wait for it to load fully, I would suggest going that route.
