Me and my friend are attempting to play a multiplayer game, however it says we have a different versions, we are playing with mods and we have checked all our mods are up to date, and in the same order multiple times. when we look at the version in the muliplayer menu the version number is verne2.6.3(****) when most other games are on verne2.6.3(ae56), it also says this for us when we are in the launcher but it changes when the game is loaded.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as the new update seems to have caused an issue from pre-federations to occur.

if this is via steam, the easiest fix would be right click Stellaris>Properties>Betas>None
[this should update the game to the current version]

if it is via Gog or something else, you'd have to check the Paradox Launcher to see if there is an option to choose what version of the game you are on, then just make sure everyone is on the same version

barring that, if none of the above fixes it, you all may need to uninstall and reinstall the game (dlc included) just to make sure it is up to date
