Yesterday we tried an EU2 1.05 setup with two players in Sweden and two players in the UK. The Swedish players were on their own connections while I was hosting the game in the UK and the second UK player was on my LAN (connecting using 10.0.0.x local IP as the external IP would not work for him).
The local player could not see chat messages from anybody except me (the host). This was true both in the country selection screen and later in the game using Shift-F12 chat. He also got several CTD and we eventually went ahead with the game without him.
Has anybody successfully played a game using mixed LAN/Internet connections? I suspect the problem is related to NAPT but how can I find out which specific ports should be forwarded to which machine on the LAN? If I disable DMZ for the host system the Swedish players are unable to find a game on my IP.
Tonight I will try disabling DMZ, enable port forward of 47624 to the host machine and leave the other ports undefined. Any other ideas?
