I've been playing this game for a few weeks now but I've run into a problem in multiplayer mode (LAN). After a few hours of play, the game would Ctd, and when I restart the game would Ctd everytime I clicked 'Multiplayer', I had to uninstall-reinstall the game (v 1.02), then it worked.....for a few more hours, before crashing again, and it doesn't allow me to play multiplayer anymore.

I run an AMD 1.33 with 384 MB of RAM, and a ATI RADEON 7500, there's lots of free space on the hard drive, and no background apps are running.

Also sometimes, it wouldn't allow me to load a saved multiplayer game, what happened was if the host selects a saved game, the other players could not see the country flags and miscellaneous letters and numbers would appear on the screen.

PLS!!!!! HELP, I hate restarting games over and over again

Lets see if anyone in MP forum can help you out, If you don't find an answer there post back in support and we will see what we can do.

OK I can't help you with the reinstall thing, but I can help you with:

Also sometimes, it wouldn't allow me to load a saved multiplayer game, what happened was if the host selects a saved game, the other players could not see the country flags and miscellaneous letters and numbers would appear on the screen.

This usually happens when the client has a savegame with the same filename as the host's game. The client doesn't actually download the game, instead it presumes it already has it and just continually sits in that loading loop (which for some reason usually has lots of crazy characters appearing in the loading bar).

The solution is for the host to load the game in singleplayer, give it a unique name, and then host that game again.

The only time this hasn't worked at a HOI LAN I've been too involved a cheaty scenario (see the thread "10 hours of my life WASTED"), which isn't to say that it only happens with cheaty scenarios. We got the game to work by copying the savegame files (.eug and .eug.cfg I believe) manually.

Really, the latter method should always work, but if you don't fancy alt-tabbing to the desktop and back then the former method is probably the easiest, since you needn't leave the game at all. In either case you're just transferring the host's save file to the client machine/s, which will only download them automatically if they don't already have a file by that name (at least that's my understanding).

when in game have the host save the game under a different name other than the one before, like you know over writing, which i like doing, but it doesnt like to do that so just have the host name it differently everytime and you will load it up fine. much easier too ;) :)
