Multiplayer game to Single player

So I was playing a Co-Op of sorts with my little brother (who made many bad choices and did not expand, thus leaving him with little gold income and two cities) and decided that continuing the game would be fun for me, not for him.

The issue is I cannot load the game in the single player menu, only in multiplayer (which does not allow me to start the game alone). I wish to keep playing this game. Any ideas?

I have not played MP so I do not know if the game continues if the only other player is wiped out..

But if it does continue then you could just wipe him out yourself.

The problem is that the save file cannot physically be loaded into a single player gam. I.E. it does not even appear on the available list of games that can be loaded unless I am in the multiplayer lobby.

Is there a way I can take the multiplayer game and move it into the single palyer load selection? I must confess I do not even know where the save games for warlock are saved on default windows 7 directory...
