Multiplayer login trouble - "Wrong nickname"

This is beyond stupid, and has made me feel just as bad. I registered with Gamespy just to be able to play multiplayer Majesty, but the game does not recognize my account. Whenever I try to log in, I get the error "Wrong nickname." I've double and triple checked, tried variations, even copied and pasted the exact username I have on Gamespy into the box, but I cannot get in. I have absolutely no trouble logging into Gamespy itself.

This is probably an issue for Gamespy's support staff, but I'm wondering if this might be a known issue with Majesty and if there's something I can do about it. Any ideas? (besides "You're obviously not entering the right name")

I can tell you that if it's like Civ 4, no matter if you already have a gamespy id, you need to create one specifically within the game. For example, I took the same id and pass in Civ 4, but I had to register it in game even though I already had a GameSpy account.

I don't think I can do that. It has a "Register" option, but that just takes me to the Gamespy site.
