Multiplayer problems

A friend of me and I bought Darkest Hour on Steam and we tried to play online today, but we had no success. We tried both possibilities, Direct IP and LAN via Hamachi.

We also followed the multiplayer guide in this forum, but it didn't help.
I've forwarded the ports in my router and in my firewall (I also disabled my firewall), my friend isn't able to forward ports in his router, so I tried to be the host.

I've one question about Direct IP Multiplayer: "Do I have to enter my own address or should the box be empty when I host the game?"

And one question about LAN: "Is there something we should pay attention on, while we trying it with Hamachi?"

If anyone has hints for us, please let me know. We're really looking forward to play Darkest Hour together.

1. If you host the game you don't have to enter an IP. Your friend, who's joining, will need to enter your IP adress, which can be found at www.whatismyip.com .

2. If you use Hamachi you need to host an Internet game and your friend needs to join an Internet game via your Hamachi IP. DON'T choose the LAN option. Hamachi is also via Internet. (Just with Hamachi IP.)
