Hi people,

some friends an me have a big issue. Some of us can join in a multiplayer match hosted by one of us, others can't.
The problem is that apparently some have other game versions (2.1.3 (RIOO) and 2.1.3 (OSRS)). Here comes the question:
Why do we have these different game versions? I bought the game last week to play with them online but now it isn't working at all.
I'm starting to question myself why I even bought the game...

Whoever has RIOO has a bad installation, has edited files, or is loading a mod. If the former try a full clean re-install:

- move any valued save games elsewhere
- "delete local files" in Steam
- manually delete all files and folders left under Steam/CK2 AND Documents/CK2
- re-install game in Steam, run a Steam Verify when done.

with every multiplayer game i try and connect to i can connect at the start but when the host starts the game and all the players are joining the console just keeps saying "connecting, looking for host" and it just repeats this over and over

We are aware of issues with Multiplayer and are trying to get a fix done as soon as we can.

For now the best way around this is to use "Connect to ID". Apologies for the inconvenience caused.

This is completely unrelated to the OP's problem with checksums, BTW.
