Okay we are setting up a large multiplayer game. What we want to know is it possible to password protect the nations files? In this way ONLY the player that is actually playing the race can get into their info.

The concern is that people can play the save in solo mode and thus see what the enmies are doing by playing them.

My suggestion would be to have an honor code. Even if you could "lock out" the nations, it is still possible to play the game as yourself in SP and see what the other countries are planning (ex. if Japan is building a fleet of carriers and you but the game on extreme fast you'll see them pop out)

True, what the others have said. It's best to play with people you know.

Alternatively you could allow everybody to look at the save files.
