Multiplayer spacebar pause

Is there a way to enable spacebar pausing for multiplayer? I have a small group I play with regularly and we find that during certain hectic war maneuvers that we've ended up getting wiped out due to not being able to move the mouse up to click pause fast enough. It seems like all Clausewitz games only let you pause with the spacebar in single player. Any solutions for this?

Use the "pause" button on the keyboard. spacebar is disabled in MP because its even more annoying when people accidentally pause all the time when trying to type in chat which usually happens more often
