Hello folks,

I am trying to organize a MP test of Arma 1.3 beta since the development team needs to see how the new intelligence system works in MP.
I won't be playing since my routeur doesn't allow me to but i will be studying the results and report them to the dev team.

So, are some of you interested in this ? :)

I been playing a 1v1 with 1.3 beta.

Seems to work well. I find it much better than old intelligence system.

Interesting is how ai nations react.
I had my first ever interrupt of a factory production from the UK as Germany and it was real.

As for human controlled intelligence, chances seem to work fine.

What exactly do you want to know ?
 
We need to know for instance if you think you can perform too many missions, if you think ai missions are balanced etc.

As long as ai countries got money they perform missions. A variety of missions are used and the whole thing seemed more realistic to me than the older intelligence system.

I shall post the ai activities as logged in the game history.
 
MP experience

I find the most important factor is that Ai nations increase their intelligence funding.
Otherwise, in time the balance will go in favor of the player who fervently increase spending each 6 months.

Unfortunately, in the Abyss and Armageddon scenario, the ai dont spend a dime on intelligence´(probably easy to change by adding to their Ai files)

If costs could be dependent on size of the country, as suggested in the thread, small countries would lessen risk being vulnerable to exploit

Anyway, the new system is a very welcome change, less micromanagement and more immersion.

With the old system it was impossible to steal anything or do anything against another player with half a brain. You could never get enough spies into his country before he wiped them out.

With the new system you can actually do covert operations against other players.

I continue playing 1.3 beta 1v1s.

I want to report that Netherlands convoys seem messed up.

In 1.2 patch there was a problem due to insufficient transports, this problem persists in 1.3.

But in this 1.3 patch it seems that the ai cannot even create resource convoys from bangka island and bandermajin to Rotterdam.

Actually i also played it with kostas and i got roughly 4 dissent as ussr and other stuff in spite of the fact that i allocated money each time to improve my intel system...



Anyways im up for a multiplay with u guys...anytime...






Note: why isnt anything done to the huge unbalance between the axis and allies and especially the fact that USSR is a monster and lets not mention that usa can destroy japan in few months or land in europe.There are many multy comunities that play without human usa from 36 and human gets usa once japan attacks and some that got ussr's ic to half.Virtually with human usa from 36 the game is unplayeble for axis and some even have human france.Really sad for those that dont use rules aka new peeps.

the intel system should be the least of the concerns.

I'm interested. I'm new to HOI2 mp and quite new to the game in general (been playing non-stop these last 2 months though), but there is always a first for everything. If I play, I'd like some Axis nation because I only played those so far.
