No firewall it has been disconnected.

And you are not behind a router? Because in that case you might need to forward the correct ports

Ok. And I assume normal Internet activity works when the router is disabled?
There are two options as I see it..
1. Song uses ISP-intranet firewalls or private adresses. If so, you need to ask them for a proxy. But I doubt they do..
2. You have Win XP and have enabled (or it was enabled on delivery etc.) its own FW. In which case you need to turn it off or open ports..
Have you been able to play other MP games?

ALso what is it with multiplayer that doesn't work? Connecting to valkyrie.net, hosting a game over internet non-valkyrie.net joining a game in valkyrie.net or some such thing?
