Music not playing when running game in background

Description​

I am not sure if this is on my end only or this is working as designed (WAD) but music is not playing while the game is running in background like when I alt-tabbed. I had reported this earlier for version 1.19.1 seven years ago and, if I recalled correctly, it was fixed at some point between then and now. So something must have been broken again, if it had indeed been fixed earlier.

If this is intended behavior, then I may file a suggestion in the forum for giving us an option to allow music to continue playing in background.

Finally, I want to note that I am indeed running mods, but it is very unlikely to play a factor in this issue.

Please let me know if any further information is required.

Steps to reproduce​

1.) Start up a game on Windows 10
2.) Ensure that music is playing
3.) Alt-tab to another window or to desktop, putting the game in the background
4.) Music will stop playing (actually, I believe it is still playing, just muted)
5.) Alt-tab back to EU4, music will be now heard again.

I encountered the same issue. Fullscreen mode mutes the audio for me but if I have it on windowed/borderless fullscreen it does not.

Hello there! The present is a design choice and not a bug. Title mute itself after minimizing it in Fullscreen mode. If you have any questions about it, don't hesitate to ask about it on the main forum for the game.
