I don`t know about the theme. The drum reminds me of a battlefield. The rest of a concert hall.

Of course I don`t have the slightest idea of music of the 17th / 18th century but somehow it doesn`t sound "right".

In reality I like it. Also music in that period was symphonys and orchestra music so the music type fits right in. The military drum is nice touch and if you look the movie on the page the same time that loads when you open the page the music fits quite nicely to it. Also the game does include land combat when you conquer ports.

There was a CD called "An Evening with the Captain" that contained a lot of the music referenced in Patrick O'Brien series of books, of which two were combined to create the movie "Master & Commander".

Music itself is OK, but no website should play music automatically when going there. At these unstable economical conditions those of us sitting next to the boss at office won't dare to read dev diaries ;)

Thats why volume button is there. Also why do you keep your speakers on in work? There is no need for sound when you write documents.

There is need for sound when your company has decided to cut telephone costs and move to using internet calls. Every once in a while the headphones are not in place.
