I'm stuck at my swedish in-laws for the next week and a half which leaves me plenty of time to contemplate my next CK2 campaign.
I have already done a lot in this game, even started making my own mods a couple years ago(for my own pleasure), but one thing has always eluded me: My Own Perfect Alternate History!
What I want to do is create a campaign with the following rules:
- Start date: 1/1 0 AD
- Shattered world, all tribal, all pagan, no de jure kingdoms
- Empires rise and fall and rise again
- Compatible with EUIV converter
I have a few ideas on how to create this and most of it is already in the base game.
However I am a bit short on ideas for how to simulate the rise and fall of empires. I fell the empires of the base get to be too stable even with the AI at the helm. Most of the factions and civil wars focus on placing a claimant on the throne or changing the council votes, both of which will not force an empire to crumble. But if I try to up the rebellious nature of the vassals, there will never be any empire.
My best ideas so far involve creating a sort of timer to track the empires of the world and slowly make them unstable over time? However; I don't know if this is possible or the best way to do it?
So what I am looking for is ideas, points or guidelines to follow, so I may achieve my dream once I return from this hell *cough* paradise!?
I am sorry if this is not the right forum to use for this kind of question or if passing the time at in-laws is frowned upon on this sub-forum.
P.S.
I am sorry if my message is unclear. English is not my first language and being a Dane in Sweden really messes with your mind.
P.P.S.
Don't believe the devs, Sweden is not paradise on Earth!
P.P.P.S.
I am happily married.
