This is kind of weird, and I googled it first so I hope it hasn't been covered, but my build times are messed up for no reason and I CAN'T fix them. I play as Germany 1936 and everything takes its base time to build, so infantry require 95 days and battleships require 720 days! I have tried uninstalling all traces of this game plus the original, as well as removing any registry keys and deleting any files left behind. It doesn't matter. This is the weirdest problem I have ever seen. Any help?

The bug started when I edited my misc.txt file, but since I have unintalled and reinstalled a ton I don't understand why it's not back to normal.

Edit: Oh, and I'm using armageddon, but it doesn't matter. The same problem happens on all the games in the anthology pack.

I am using the version of armageddon that comes in the anthology pack. I have a 2 GHZ Athlon CPU (3200+ I think) I have 1.5 GB of RAM, I'm running XP home, and I have a Radeon 2600 Pro video card.

If I cannot play this game properly I think I'm going to die.

Edit: Just found out something stranger. It ONLY affects Germany. None of the other countries have this problem.

Edit2: I think also that it only affects the 1936 and 1938 scenarios. It doesn't seem to affect the 1944 scenario.

In what way are your build times messed up? What do you mean by that?
Should not infantry take 95 days, and battleships 720? Unless you have a gearing bonus or slider, minister effects?

What is the file date of misc.txt right now?
Did you mod any other files?
Did you uninstall using method that is stickied at top of the forum?

Does this happen when you start a new GER 1936 game, or only with a saved game?

Sorry that you are having a problem, but glad at least that you will not die now.

In the past, infantry only took about 50-something days to produce, not the full 95. I realize that 95 is the official number of days it's supposed to take to build an infantry though.

Hey, could you do me a favor and tell me how many days it takes for an infantry division to build for Germany 1936 in your game? I'm positive it's not supposed to be 95 but I guess it could just be my faulty memory. It seems really wrong though that everything takes the full time for Germany and not any other country, and I'm pretty sure I don't remember it being that way.

The file date is sometime in 2007, so it's the one fresh off the CD.

I'm pretty sure I uninstalled using the method in the sticky, but I will try again.

PS: As long as I can't play Germany 1936 my life is still in jeopardy! :(

Edit: Yes, it was uninstalled properly earlier, and recently I have been using the uninstaller.

I started up a new game as Germany '36 and it takes 95 days for infantry to build, on Jan 1, 1936.

You can immediately reduce this down to 86 days, by:

a. moving your slider 1 increment toward Hawk.

Additional yearly slider moves, and gearing bonuses can eventually get this build time even lower.

Various countries may have differing build times, based on minister effects, sliders, etc.

I am a moron of epic proportions.

And you sir are awesome. It seems as though it was my imagination after all. I am very sorry for wasting your time.

Thank you!

Ninja Edit: I figured out why I was stupid. Normally when I play the game, I cheat and set the domestic policy to whatever I want and save the game and just use that save. This time I didn't ('cause the game was uninstalled) so I thought something was wrong.
