Resource disbalance.
I had a lot of games, where I, literally, never ever built a metal extractor. Because scattered metals were enough to sustain me until Mohole even in metal-poor maps. Even with metal shortages trading metal for renewable resources like food is always comes cheaper than wasting precious space on geologists.

Useless Research
Research is in dire need for rebalance if not complete overhaul. ome research options are grosssly overpowered while others are completely useless. Some became obsolete right after game starts.

Terraforming is awful
One of the worst parts of the game, alas. Right now it is the worst case of a waiting game. Heat and water could be gained easily, while vegetation is almost impossible to get. To make matter worse - vegetation starts to earn you diminishing returns. So only wayto reasonable increase it is to constantly launch rockets and that is BEYOND BORING. Entire branches of the game are stillborn - even maximum vegetation and seeding will earn you, like, 0.00000001 per sol. In current state it will never be worth it. Athmosphere is also suffering from diminishing returns but at least it could be mitigated bymagnetic satellites and structures. But worst of all terraforming is useless - there are zero reasons to start terraforming anytime before late game. Only otivation becomes stopping cold waes and dust storms and that isstill manageable. Terraforming techs are 2x expensive so you can't afford to research them early on or during mid game, leaving them to last.
And what then? You just wait. You build terraforming building late game and sit, looking how each day 0.05% fills. This is the opposite of "fun".

Underground and Asteroids
Exactly why do you need to go underground? To get what? Another dome, that you can get only late-game? To get exotic minerals to bу able to build underground? You get nothing in terms of benefits. Asteroids can provide you with some minerals and polymers but underground will bring you only micromanagement hell and some issues that are not wirth wasting time on.

Landscaping
The fact that you can do landscaping with drones axes bulldozer from the game entirely. Ramps, flatten, and others culd be used with drone commander. You literally set ramp location and leave comander with some drones and here you are - landscaping done in no time! Why doyou need to waste tens of thousands of research on +landscaping speed when it is already huge?

No communication with the community
There are no indication that devs are actually reading the forums beyond bug reports. No plans,no comments, nothing. It's like they will be removed like previous ones and replaced by another group for another exansion if that would be in plans.

Game would be brilliant should many flaws would be fixed, especially with good share of them requires cost adjustment.

I don't dislike terraforming. It's a big thing that feels so much more rewarding than building any wonder. You can zoom out to the map and see a nice green planet with oceans on it. It is not something you can do before late game, because that just makes sense; you need a well established colony to affect the planet and not a small outpost. The mechanics just wouldn't feel right if they came into play earlier in the game. That's kind of a problem with that being the theme of the DLC; it has to be a late game thing.

...B&B didn't have to be and still is. It's not content that couldn't work in middle game (which arguably is the fun part of the game) and yet it wasn't put there. I don't get why we got a brand new thing to do when the colony is already doing so well that if half of it dies to a dust storm when you aren't looking, it's just a mild inconvenience. That's probably my biggest complaint about this whole DLC, that it didn't enhance the core gameplay of Surviving Mars but just put more stuff into pointless late game, when it really didn't have to.

Though agree: vegetation sucks. As far as I understand you can only get it up to 40% and then it's only through rockets... that's 12 rockets sent just to see number go up. I would be fine with it slowing down the higher it got, but not stopping completely. It's really not fun.
