My EU2 won't start!

I put the Disc in and the little menu comes up and i hit play, then the screen turns black as i f to boot up but it just stays black and never does anything.

Easiest solution is to rename the AVI folder to AVI_Back.
However there is an XP fix for this that can be Downloaded from Mircrosoft.
