Hello there! Thank you for the report. Could you provide more information and if possible some game files:
* Crashes folders, they should be located at [...]\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III\crashes , please provide all that were created after 1.12.1 release.
* Your error.txt, which should be present at [...]\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III\logs
* If possible, information about your PC specifications

We added the issue to our bug database, in the meantime, while we investigate it closer, here is a fix I can recommend for you to try out.
Uninstall the game and make sure that there aren't any files remaining. Then Delete or move your Crusader Kings 3 Folder from documents, and then delete launcher files found in C:/users/<UserName>/AppData/Roaming/Paradox Interactive/launcher-v2/
After that, reinstall the game, make sure the mods are disabled and try to boot the game.

Hi there, we've found out that the crash is most likely machine specific, from the logs it looks like the game is trying to access pds_setting.txt however your systems appears to have it locked.
Does the crash still occurs ? If so, please check if you don't have any special functions or permissions for pds_settings.txt or entire Crusader Kings 3 documents folder.
