Ok, I've finally played through my first SuperAI game...
First off, I'd like to tip my hat to the AI devs for that mod. WOW. Its an aptly-named mod. I really like the way the AI files load in response to events (to ensure the most optimal responses). The hard-coded tech sharing was nice as well, since it meant that colonials and minors in the Allies weren't stuck in the dark ages in 1944.
However, as some pointed, the sprites are a bit dodgy. I like the way some of them look, but there are a few (like the French WWI tank, the UK dive bomber, etc) that are glitchy/garish and lessen the fun. However, if you're willing to set aside a few weird sprites and a questionable color pallette for the interface (well, I'm red-green colourblind, what do I know), the game played out really well with no crashes or screw-ups.
Overall, I found that my game played pretty ahistorically. That's not a problem if you're not looking to go historical. Its late 1945 and both Japan and Germany are still kicking, which says a lot about the aforementioned AI improvements. I'm looking forward to the 1955 events, but the war doesn't seem to be ending
(which is a good thing).
Because its a total conversion, they did re-write everything, including the map. I was a little disappointed by the IC/resource layout, but perhaps I'm just too used to CORE. If I remember correctly, they tried to make things realistic, and if it is, then more power to it.
However, I found the IC's a bit inflated for my tastes and the resources were concentrated in a few key provinces, rather than being spread out. For eg, Tokyo had 47 IC's but there was virtually no coal on the home islands. But in the end, it works, even if it seems a little biased to the USA (or perhaps that's more reflective of reality?).
Just thought I'd share,

PS. Wow, I've got to stop procrastinating
