In my mod, there are three types of errors in place names:

One is the original place name. For example, when I set the place name as qiluo, he became York.

Second, there is a blank mess code, qiluo into qi, or simply did not show.

The third is to become wasteland, which is easy to solve. I have solved some problems by myself, mostly coding errors.

In addition, there is a doubtful question: in my principality of jurisprudence, clearly the newly created continent, but the Principality of Brittany appeared, and my document did not set this at all.

Please give me your help, thank you.

Hello,

the first error sounds like an error of localisation, maybe you have missed a line somewhere.

I do not completely understand the second. But I think you mean the name displays wrong in the game?

A problem is that we can not see your files. If you can share your files for the mod, someone can take a look. Hopefully then the error can be seen.

The first issue sounds like vanilla localisation at work. See line 16660 in text1.csv:

Code:
PROV57;York;York;York;;York;;;;;;;;;x

I should have replaced the localized file, but why does it still appear on my map?
There is another possibility. In /common/landed_titles/landed_titles.txt there is an option to overwrite the name based on culture.
Maybe that is happening?
Otherwise, you should upload your files so people can hopefully see instead of guess.

The reason why I didn't map is that my picture is in Chinese. I'm afraid you may not understand it. But since you said it, I'll post it.

In this picture, I draw three red circles.

The red circle on the left, which is written in Chinese, "duchy of Flanders", is the original version of the duchy next to Normandy. He should not appear in this mod, but my character can be created.

The red circle in the middle is a wasteland. He should not show the two letters, which is also the original place name, an province in the north of India.

The red circle on the far right covers three errors. The province has become wasteland, a blank name and a lack of letters.

In fact, there is another province in the upper right corner, Milan, that is, the province in the north of Italy, and he should not be here.

Finally, I am not very good at English, so I am using machine translated text to talk to you, if there is any offence, please forgive me, and thank you for answering for me.

I guess it has nothing to do with culture? Because I haven't set up a culture yet, all the cultures in mod are "uncultured_swine" cultures that come with the system.

You are right, I can not understand Chinese. Alas :(

So I may not be able to help you after all. I can see that errors you point out, but cannot read that they are wrong.

Yes, that would be an effect of culture. If you have not used culture at all, that can not be the problem.

My last guess is that it has something to do with Chinese translation maybe? I know Crusader Kings 2 does not normally support Chinese text, because it uses an old format (ANSI instead of modern UTF-8).
So are you using this mod for translation? https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1596784910
Maybe the authors of that translation mod can help you to understand, whether the problem has to do with how Chinese language is added to the game. At least, these people can speak Chinese, so they can maybe help you.

Sorry I could not help you :(

In Chinese, it is said that before 2.63, the localization section was translated in the past, which is an amazing amount of translation, so we in China usually lag behind you by several versions.

From 2.8 onwards, it is said that a Japanese who worked in P club made Japanese mod. We made Chinese mod from that mod. From then on, I can't understand the principle of Chinese mod.

Anyway, thank you for your enthusiasm.

Then I looked at the web page, which is the 52 forum. I also asked questions in this forum, but the response was very little. I haven't met anyone as enthusiastic as you.

If you can create a title that does not and should not exist there is probably something wrong in landed_titles.

In the self-made map mod, this title of mine is all written by myself. . It is reasonable to say that the last one is a random code error. It should not appear the original legal principle.

Sorry I can't really give more details. I am not sure what your problem exactly is, the translater is hard to understand.

Well, let me put it another way, or ask a question.

Non-existent title can be created. I'm sure I didn't write this in my title, because this is the original game title. In theory, it shouldn't and can't happen. What's the problem?

I understand. Could you show us the code for d_flanders and the duchy you replaced it with? Did you remove other titles successfully? Is d_flanders the only title that causes issues?

My title of code was written from 0kb, and obviously I couldn't write a d_Flanders.

d_Flanders is just one, in fact, d_Brittany and so on. In fact, the duchy is not the most important, the most important thing is the provinces, provinces have become the original, and many. I don't know what to do yet.

Hmm...
Does your mod overwrite the vanilla files? Because your mod title file seem to be correct.
But it can be that the game also loads the vanilla titles.

You might need to use replace_path for titles. See the wiki: https://ck2.paradoxwikis.com/Modding#Mod_structure

For example, in my own mod, we have used replace_path several times (in the .mod file):
Code:
name="CK2Plus"
path="mod/CK2Plus"
replace_path="history/provinces"
replace_path="history/titles"
replace_path="history/wars"
replace_path="history/technology"
replace_path="common/buildings"
replace_path="common/laws"
replace_path="common/trade_routes"
supported_checksums = { HLAP }
This tells the game NOT to load any vanilla files in these folders. And so it loads only the mod files.

You can use replace_path="/common/landed_titles", and see if the error will be fixed.

Of course, there is coverage. Otherwise, the vanilla name will not appear in minority of provinces, but in all provinces.

Then I thought about it. Would it be the flag? I never set the flag. It seems that the game assigned me automatically.

You may have to zip all your mod files and upload them to the forum here. Map modding is difficult, and there's several things that could go wrong :eek:

You know, I'm a Chinese, so I use Chinese translation mod in mod to make Chinese people play, so I'm afraid you can't understand Chinese, so you can't understand my mod.

Hi, friend, I've found something new these days.The count's tag is c_minghe, but it's still milano that shows up here.

This picture is the result of my deletion of Chinese translation mod. You can see it in Chinese in normal provinces. All the provinces from the original edition have become English.
