The concept of electricity in the game needs a complete rework because it clearly isn’t working. Having to build a power plant in every single state makes it the worst resource in the game it’s simply not worth transitioning to electricity in 90% of cases. It would be interesting, for example, to have events about the War of the Currents for countries innovating in the electricity field, and maybe by the end of that event, electricity could become a national (not local) resource. To me, that’s what makes the industry so painful right now.

The construction sectors in the game should be more realistic. The state doesn’t fund every store by buying construction materials this sector should be managed by private labor, and sure, it could be more or less public depending on your laws.

Foreign investment should be tied to the lobbying system. Foreign capital can help boost your economy, but it also empowers lobbies from that country within your own. That’s a loss of sovereignty. So selling off 90% of your country might not be such a great idea, lol.

The game desperately needs more shortcuts especially one to build an industry in every state with one click. Whoever had the awful idea of making service goods local clearly didn’t think of adding an option to queue up all the supporting infrastructure or power grid with a single click.

The game needs more formable nations, decisions that grant claims, a rework of the colonization system, and improvements to both the military mechanics and historical events especially major unifications like Italy and Germany, and the natural rise of powers like Japan or the USA.

It’s frustrating when you’re playing as a minor power and the UK just dominates everything without anyone pushing back. It makes saves feel boring and static. Historical progression should feel more dynamic and believable, with AI nations having better chances of achieving their historical pathsor at least putting up a fight when global balance starts to spiral

And finally, bring in the auto-research option from Stellaris when nothing is being researched. Honestly, every Paradox game should have this by default.

I agree with construction sector thing, but my big gripe with the UK that needs to be fixed and pretty much with every other nation here is Military supply. There is a reason you didnt see UK didn't mobilize entire forces in Opium war. There is a reason you dont see, Russia sending all his troops to halfway across to the world to fight is Australian civil war. Like these were not possible because the supplying those troops would be a logistical nightmare. Lets not forget UK sending all his ships (in my game), every single one of them to blockade Japan into submission for years with no regard for how were these shipping getting their supplies. Yes Navy also needed supplies, and those supplies are not coming all the way from Britain, but the closest logistical Hub, this is the reason why historical domination happened in the slow methodical way.

There is so much more I can write about this, but I will stop here.
