It's March 1940 in my game (FTM) and the Nationalists have taken/unified all China, taken Japan then joined the Allies. I've pushed west and taken the predictable Siam, Persia, Saudi and Turkey. I can't decide what to do next.

1) Knowing Germany will take Paris, I could sit on my hands and wait for Vichy to form in 6 months and grab most of that - including Indochina, but then what? Fight through Italy,

2) Just push straight on into balkans and grab Bulgaria? But then what? I'm guessing it might be an interesting war if Axis invades Yougo/Greece and I try to support them, but I'm curious as to whether an early balkan entry by me may ruin the AI plan for Axis invasion. So do I leave Italy alone and hope they attack Greece as "usual"?

3) Something else? Just looking for an interesting finale having come this far. I've got a decent cruiser navy with a pair of CVL. More building. I'm happy helping Norway if they're attacked but won't do gamey stuff like mess with occupied Denmark.

Any suggestions please?

If Japan is gone and you've joined the Allies, then ... maybe wait till the USSR fires off it's "get 5000 bonus manpower" event, then go for them?

That said, while I'm the author of the NatChi wiki page, I'm afraid it's been so long since I've played FtM, that I don't remember how different it is than TFH. If you are looing for more excitment in the future, you could consider forgoing the Allies, and after taking Japan's mainland, also taking their place as the Pacific Aggressor.

If the NatChi strategy guide is yours, then yes I followed it and am in debt to you!

My problem is because the timeline of Paris falling, Vichy formation and the invasion of Greece/Yougo, are all kind of predictable. This means that I can know and plan for the best strategy. I think I would be better off just playing on regardless and perhaps follow the course that I am most unsure of. See what goes differently than expected?

By all means. Also, again, my wiki guide was for TFH, so there also might be some uncertainty if you only have the DLC up through FtM.
