I'm a big fan of Monster Hunter, so I decided to check out the Monster Hunter species mod on the Steam Workshop. Problem is, it doesn't work; the custom species class doesn't show up in the empire creation menu. As the authors seem to have largely abandoned it, I've decided to take matters into my own hands; as far as I can tell, though, nothing's been done wrong. I've attached the .zip file containing the mod; anyone able to help me out?

after a quick look i have noticed that there is a empty defines.lua which definitely will cause problems -- delete
and in the species classes file you need to remove this line. " playable = yes" ----- you dont need it and this syntax got changed with asimov patch.
hope this helps

Seems to have fixed it - I'll do some more thorough testing to make sure it works properly. Thanks!
Have to ask, would it be ok to re-upload it to Steam?

If you wanna re-up on steam ask the original modder for permission to do so; if the modder doesnt want to maintain the mod himself they mostly wont mind if someone else takes over
...you also could without asking but maybe you have to pull it later if he noticed and doesnt want a re-up by someone else than himself

In any case dont forget to give credit to the orignal modder and maybe a link to the original mod as well as a reason for the re-up
