I know this is another thread about modding leaders/factions
I need some help from the community and devs, if that is possible.
Currently modding factions is an excruciating process.
I am trying to create mod where i mod out the default factions from the game, so "Arcane Tigrans" factions are no more, and replace them with much less generic factions inspired by homebrew tabletop setting factions i made once, and lately generated lots of art contents with Midjourney.
The plan is:
- Remove default factions
- Make preset races much more different from each other - unique buildings or units, +2 affinity combos
- Make leaders with preset characters, and customize them via hero traits.
- Add full of lore PDFs with art content generated by AI to explain each faction, its leaders character etc.
Issues I am facing, and will appreciate help:
1. I can not mod vanilla Lords.rpk at all. I tried to turn to discord community, but my changes are not saved at package level. Please help me to remove default factions/lords.
2. It is impossible to open .AOWL files, so for now, in order to recreate character outlook i need to pick customization codes from this kind of content :
Is there any way to work / visualize leader customizations?
3. Are there ways to limit leader selection / random leaders via Realm Trait?
