Hi, this is my first post, and... I need some help.

First off, I have installed IGC 2.3, worked fine when I was playing Russia, but now I want to try my luck as France, well, I go to igc config, set it how I want, apply, and start up EU.

When I get to IGC verything is fine, France is there, the only one in fact ebcause I want to be the only major and press start.

Everything is fine, loading fine, then it crashes... :(.

i've tried it tiwce, crashed twice, and I'm about to mess around with the igc config settings to see if it is that.

EU crashes once or twice every day I play, which is more than 4 hours.

But I've never encountered this proble before, don't know why its doing this.

i've got the latest EU patch etc.

And another problem, if it is one, I've got a P3 700mghz Windows 98 Dell yet when EU is loading on the first screen it takes at the minimum around 2 minutes, and at the most more than 5 minutes.

This has happened each time I've started it up since I've had it, about 2 weeks, and its always 'initializing graphics, that takes up most of the time. Don't know why..... :(

But EU isn't graphics intensive like 3d sims or the like, and they load up quickly, why does it take so long for me? Or is this normal?

I have 128 megs of ram and a Nvidia TNT 2 M64.

This is a question for the scenerio forum.It's right down their ally. Sorry I can't help you with the first question. The second question is odd for I have an old P2 350mhz w a VooDoo3 card. Although I have 384mb RAM the load is not as slow as yours (but can be lenghty).
 
i have 333mhz and the load takes max 1 min for me, wierd.
Do you have lots of programs on in the background, (i think icq really meeses up the game i havent tried myself but i heard talk)
 
Bloody hell! I'm a Scenario Forum dude, and I don't know what the answer is.

But, there have been wierd problems before that had the following solution:
1) de-install EU. There is a sticky thread, "Reinstalling EU", that needs to be looked at - no big deal in terms of doing it.
2) re-install EU from the CD.
3) re-install the IGC and follow the post-install instructions in the readme.

Your BiB'ness perhaps to move this to the Scenario Forum?

Also, I know there are various tuning things one can do (defraging disk, etc.). I know there is a tread about this, but cannot recall.

My thought once I recognized this thread from 15 minutes ago or sommink was that EU has gone post-modern. All the fora, game features, etc. are all being mixed up. It's all meaningless. Despair...
