So I will split this into 2 questions, I would love some help because I don't want me buying eu4 to go waste.

Background: I have been playing for about 2-3 months now and have a "basic" understanding of the game I need some questions answered please

1 how do people play eu4 campaigns for so long I saw someone who played it 12 hours straight, I get bored easy and loose interest fast.

2. In 1444 I cant seem to find a good nation to play as I look it up and got the usual "ottomans" or "France" or whatever I am playing on very hard mode as I quickly found the others too easy

Thanks, I look forward to seeing your replys tomorrow!

1. Depends. I like to go for achievements, either personal or game ones. When you have a goal you can keep playing for a long time. It helps I like the game, if you're "meh" on it then you'll lose interest regardless. Also if they're in game for >8 hours they probably hit pause and went to bed.

2. Try smaller nations on normal. Milan, Holland, Scotland, Brandenburg, or Bohemia. You can also play outside of Europe. Timmurids, Jianzhou, Oda (or any Japanese Daimyo). New world campaigns start really, really boring then get fun once Europe shows up. Wouldn't really recommend them.
