new 1.05c install issue

Well, doesn't look like this is up yet so, hope I am not repeating a thread with a problem. Just pulled the new patch off of avault.com and when i load the installer it pops up the large main screen and reads it can't fine the game and closes.

I have the game in C:\games\HOI...so I don't know if I have it named wrong, or if it want's the game in the default folder on install options, I've had that come up before. Aside from that I don't know, any help on this matter would save me a lot of greif. Thanks a bunch all.

1.05C is a zip file on this forum.

If someone has written an installer for it, obviously Paradox cannot be responcible for it.

I would contact the author of that program.

the dl I got it from was www.avault.com If they have a bum copy I will let them know and pull the .zip from this forum. One of the dl sites is strategyfirst.ca another is paradoxplaza.com

Niether Paradox downloads or SF has the 1.05C patch!
They just have 1.05 the offical last patch.
The "C" comes from a zip file "tweek" pack that can be downloaded from this forum.

So is it 1.05 or the 1.05C tweek pack that you are trying to install?

Also I would need to know who the publisher of your version is?
Thier logo will be on the CD.

I think many people having problems with the tweak pack are thinking that hoi.exe is an installer. As Castellon said there is no installer unless someone outside Paradox added one (unlikely). All you do to install the 1.05c tweak pack is unzip it into your HoI installed directory (with 'overwrite files' and 'use folders' options or their equivalents).

(And actually 1.05c is available at ParadoxPlaza downloads now.)
