New EIR Game Start -- Wednesdays/Fall/NA

Download for Full version for Armageddon 1.2 EIR -- HAGS0608 -- Includes a 1936 Grand Campaign, and 1938 Scenario for Multiplayer games for Doomsday/Armageddon version 1.2

Game to be scheduled for once a week, minimum 4 hour sessesion starting at 00:00 CET ending 04:00 CET (6 to 10 EST) on Wednesday's, starting on September 3rd.


USSR: Newball
FRA/USA: Wretched Mass
UK: Nostra

Germany: General Sherman
Italy: King Tiger II
Japan: Hiensen
Silver: Manchoukou

Those who have voiced interest are Gunny, General Sherman, Silver, WretchedMass, Geo and myself. No countries have been picked yet though Geo and Gunny have picks on Germany. We may need more players, and minors are open.

If we do not get 6, we will go for a short 2 v 2 scenario starting in 1938.

A more complete list of all modifications and the suggested rules set will be included in the "scenario notes and rules," in later versions of the Download

How to install:

1) Make a complete copy of your Hearts of Iron Doomsday – Armageddon 1.1 file by clicking on the Doomsday main folder Icon and copying the folder. Paste this somewhere else on your computer.
2) Download “the East is Red.rar” file from the link provided.
3) Copy it into the new Doomsday folder: Make sure it is the copy.
4) Right Click over the RAR file.
5) Select: "Extract Here"
6) Overwrite "ALL"
7) Boot the game and in single player you will find new “the East is Red Scenarios.”
6) If you have loaded it correctly you should see the image posted above as you load the game.

Note: not all of the changes will work properly with the other scenarios available from the menu.

I'm in.

If we are the same guys as Monday, should we make it one game two nights a week?

If we go one game, I'm obviously USSR. If we go for two, I would like USA, Japan, Italy, USSR, Germany, UK in that order in this game, as I am USSR in Monday.
 
Of course you realize that I am interested.........However, my wife is due in less than 2 weeks and I don't know what my availability will be going forwards. I'm sure I can squeeze in one night a week and some weekends. So count me in if that's ok with the group. I would like to play Italy, SU, Canada/USA or axis minor Hungary. :eek:

Good session. Had enough for a good 3 v 3.

Lineup posted in the OP. Next week, same time same place after the EIR -- Euro game.
 
Hosts and anyone wanting to run this game through Danzig will need to DL and unzip the "HAGSdanzigpatch2" file in the Doomsday folder in order to replace the corrected events files. The trigger for the Danzig event is incorrect.

Because I had too change the file structure for the scenario, I had to edit the save from last game, so that it finds the right text files. Here is the edited save: EIR II NA Wednesday -- Start

In other news my European game is cancelled for tomorrow so if people want to start earlier we can. I will be in V net at 22:00 and we will see who shows up. Otherwise the regular time for start is 00:00 CET.

I can be free tomoz at 4, will have some things to get done; So as long as we play on normal speed or less I should be just fine. :)
 
Looks like Sherman is busy until 6:00 anyway.

I think they want you to sign up at the Warplan Orange site for Sunday game....

It was a good session. The end was weird and I still don't like it, but it's not going to prevent me from enjoying this going forward. I was bummed not to get to do my slider move. Looking forward to next session.
 
It was a really good end to a session. Japan is in the thick of it and an important player in world politics. That doesn't usually happen until 1941/42.

You guys are even trying to threaten me with early war, and stuff. You guys could simply forgo M/R, and Japan could regorganize for a war on land.... but they have no tanks. So perhaps you will sign me up for that deal after all? That's pretty dynamic politics, as far as I am concerned. Seemed it worked perfectly to me: WAD.

WM, if you show up for this game late, I will find a permanent sub, That is just the way it is.

I'm looking forward to our session tonight, heavy fights expected on far east front between the asian coalition against the stalinist alliance.

Do you have any prospects lined up? I think we should bring an extra to the session if possible.

KT says he should be able to be there. Not sure yet, but will know later and will post to let us know.
