I've often found the standard ferry hard enough to make any use of due to the low capacity.

I was pleased to see some new models of ferry, but then disappointed to see even lower capacity.

I rarely manage to use the regular one, as mentioned above, these unfortunately would be even more useless. Really sad. :(

Please increase the capacity!

Agreed. I was happy to see some new models, but when I used them I quickly had to resort to using the old model and they were overwhelmed by riders again. Only a couple of lines in outlying locations were able to stay with the newer models. A bit disappointing. I tested on the Island Hopping scenario from Natural Disasters, after having won, where the potential for adding a Ferry network is promising.

I would have thought it'd make sense for car ferries to have significantly lower capacity than passenger ferries (assuming we ever get car ferries), but considering how low the capacity of passenger ferries is, it's unlikely. Car ferries have to have enough capacity to carry cars and passengers, so let's say 50 passengers, whilst passenger ferries have, let's say 200. There can also be passenger ferries with lower capacity, but those are significantly smaller (perhaps even fitting into smaller than average waterways). Small ferries are a good idea specifically for narrow and shallow waterways, but for larger waterways, they don't make any sense

How do you increase capacity?
The Ferry Ships were all automatically increased by 30. 10 became 40 , 50 became 80. The slider bar used to adjust in 25% increments, now it adjusts by 5% giving you more control. This is a huge improvement now that budgets were adjusted on vehicle sizes and if your are at vehicle limit. One super bendy bus is 3 30 capacity buses running as 1 90 capacity bus. 10 super bendy busses are really 30 vehicles not 10 as you might think. Use them wisely, and remember bikes are vehicles too. Get your cims using mass transit especially if your hitting vehicle limit.

Go into your radial menu to Transport Routes. Click on the menu. Tab over to the ship icon, press it to open the tab, picture 2. Click on the line you wish to adjust. The Ferry Lines tab has a Vehicle Count Modifier, picture 1 , click on it and adjust which Ferry you would like to use and adjust the slider as you wish.

The Ferries aren't even close to being either enough or even remotely accurate. The average Irish Sea ferry has a capacity of 1,880 passengers, a British Cross Channel Ferry has a capacity of around 2,000. The Highest capacity of Ferry in Cities is 80, or between 1,800 and 1,920 less passengers than in real life. I'm not suggesting they should have a 2K capacity in the game but 80 is ridiculously low. This is especially stupid given the highest capacity bus is 100 passengers, highest capacity Tram is 140 passengers, and the highest capacity train is 680 passengers, making Ferries, the largest transport vehicle short of a plane, carriers 750% less passengers than a train. I hope you have done a better job in CS2 because Ferries in CS1 are barely worth the bother due to such restrictively low capacity.
